I haven't worked with Google Analytics in quite some time (Adobe's Omniture had been my primary tool the last two years), but it's fun poking around and seeing how to train it to meet my needs. For some reason GA doesn't let you segment Mobile from Tablet devices super easily. I ended up figuring out how to make it work with a few clicks (just a little rusty over here!), but before I did, I came across an elegantly complex solution from this dude. He's basically telling GA - via a "regular expression" - to recognize handset versus tablet based on screen resolution sizing. Smart and a bit intense.
